Baobabs (Adansonia spp.) are native to countries prone to arid conditions including Africa, Australia and Madagascar. During the rainy seasons they can absorb and store up to 120,00 litres of water within their trunks! Their ability to store so much water is crucial to their survival during extended periods of drought.
