Plants make sounds that we can’t hear, but other animals can!
Researchers have discovered certain plants make clicking noises while under stress. The frequencies are inaudible to humans, but certain animals like moths and bats can hear and even respond to the sounds 📞🦇
During the study the team found that female moths avoided laying eggs on plants that made noises, likely because the noises indicated poor plant health which would decrease the chances of their offspring surviving 🦋
